I am so excited to launch our newest series on Among the Colors with Artist Interviews! This is something that I have wanted since the launch of the blog, and with now being in the inaugural year of our contemporary art gallery, ATC DEN, it seemed like the perfect time to launch with our first solo artist in the gallery, Kaitlyn Tucek. Her exhibition, It's All Coming Apart has gained national recognition with a write up in Hyperallergic. Kaitlyn and I connected on a love for abstract painting, mark making, and finding new ways to use weird and bright colors....read more

So excited to share the third Among the Colors Winter SOULstice mix with you all! It's been a weird and intense year for almost everyone I know. (unless maybe you live on a deserted island) But as I looked back at this year, I realized it was actually a really great year for music. And it was a wonderful year for art as well. (and the opening of ATC DEN!)This year we did lose one of the great legends, Tom Petty. It's still hard to believe sometimes, especially since I saw him live just last year. But this year was filled with incredible music and art. Live music...
I'm so excited to share our newest Business Love feature with Downtown Denver's newest darling, Urban Farmer. Urban Farmer is centrally located in LoDo just a block from Union Station, which makes it a great meeting spot for lunch, dinner and happy hour. They even serve breakfast as well. The interior design is casual farm to table done right. Distressed wood meets rich blue and saddle leather, green walls of plants line the windows, with some windows opening up up to the sidewalk. These features are completed with compelling abstract paintings and a red neon...
Some people say business and friends do not go together. I must say, in my two years of experience with Among the Colors, nothing is further from the truth for me. I have been honored to be able to build a female-based company alongside working with some very talented, passionate and creative women. We started out in business and we have become great friends. So, it only made since that my next edition to the bad ass babes of Among the Colors, would actually be a dear friend of mine of over ten years, Claire Tonelson. Claire is the new Director of Events for ATC...
I am excited to share this month's Inspired Women profile with you on New York-based jewelry designer Pamela Love. I was first introduced to Love's stunning jewelry a few years ago in Denver at the fashion boutique Goldyn. I instantly fell in love with these simple, clean designs that told a story. A story I wanted to get to know. To be a part of.I love it when an artist uses their materials as part of the dialogue of what the work is about. Pamela Love is one of those artists. Love's use of semi-precious stones as well as metals come together to tell a story of...
Let's talk healthy and easy lunch shall we? I have become a huge fan of these quick wraps for at home or at work. For our newest Business Love blog post, we traveled no further than our own neighborhood, RiNo art district in Denver, Colorado. Located just down the block from our art gallery ATC DEN, CALL is a welcomed gem into the hood and to Denver's booming culinary scene. Located in a renovated old house, CALL is an open kitchen concept day to night coffee shop meets lunch cafe meets casual dinner bites. Complete with local beer, selected wines and cocktails on tap like their Boulevardier, their beverage program does not disappoint. I fell in love with their take on a...read more
Is it just me, or does it feel like this winter is lasting forever? Maybe it's the fact that I can't ski this winter because I am recovering from injury, or maybe it's the fact that I don't think my immune system has been 100% since the new year rang in... But I've definitely been focused on different ways to bring balance and self care into this deep part of winter. My favorite products right now include essential oils for sinuses and inflammation, a CBD muscle salve for my injured shoulder and back, and a hair repair treatment. See the full list below and...read more
