I can’t believe I am actually going to say this, but the holidays are right around the corner. This is the time of year we tend to want to indulge in sweets or not-so-healthy foods but I promise it’s not hard to stay on track. That’s why I wanted to share five easy to make healthy snacks with you as the holidays approach. All of these healthy snacks are dairy and gluten free and can be made in less than 5 minutes.
Banana Collagen Smoothie
I don’t know about you, but I am a huge fan of smoothies. I love being able to throw all of my ingredients into a blender and, voila, You’ve got a delicious and healthy snack. Here is what you will need to make this banana collagen smoothie: 1 cup Oatly oat milk, 1 banana, 1 serving of plain Vitamin Proteins collagen powder.
Cantaloupe, Chia Seeds, and Lemon
This snack could not be easier to whip up! By sprinkling some chia seeds onto of the cantaloupe you greatly increase the nutritional value of this healthy snack. Chia seeds are very high in fiber, protein, and omega-3 fatty acids but they also add a nice crunch!
Avocado with Mango Salsa
The mango salsa from Whole Foods is my absolute favorite and super easy to incorporate into so many dishes. For this snack, I simply dollop a spoonful of the mango salsa into the center of an avocado and eat with a spoon.
Hard-Boiled Eggs and Hummus
This is my go-to post-workout snack. You can use store-bought hummus or if you’re feeling adventurous you can also whip up your own. I have a few delicious hummus recipes you can check out here and here.
Avocado Rice Cakes with Sprouts
For this snack, you simply slice an avocado and place it on a rice cake and top with sprouts. The extra crunchy rice cake pairs perfectly with the creamy avocado.
I am always on the hunt to discover delicious and healthy recipes. What are some of your favorite healthy snacks?
