Summer and sandwiches go together ever so well. I love a seasonal grilled cheese. This grilled cheese features Denver-based company RedCamper’s Whiskey Peach jam. Made from Colorado Palisade peaches and bourbon whiskey from Colorado’s Laws Whiskey, this jam is the stuff dreams, picnics and camping trips are made of. When I first tasted this jam, I knew I wanted to make a grilled cheese with it. The peaches and whiskey give a sweet taste to the sandwich and pair nicely with honey ham and goat gouda. An easy summer meal that’s an explosion of flavor in every bite.
This recipe is definitely my go-to camping recipe this summer. So easy to whip up while camping and pairs beautifully with a flask of your favorite whiskey.
You can order RedCamper’s Peach jam on their website. You can also order Colorado’s Canyon Bakehouse gluten free 7-grain bread on their website too. My absolute favorite gluten free, corn free gluten free bread.
Wishing you beautiful summer nights full of adventure,
Gluten Free Ham & Whiskey Peach Grilled Cheese
Makes one sandwich.
- two pieces gluten free bread (Canyon Bakehouse 7 grain in my favorite)
- a few thin slices of goat gouda
- 3-4 slices of thinly sliced honey ham (Applegate is my favorite)
- 2 tablespoons of RedCamper Whiskey Peach Jam
- 1 tablespoon mayo
- 1 tablespoon ghee
Melt ghee in a frying pan or grill pan over medium heat. Layer the sandwich with mayo on one side, the cheese on top of the mayo, then ham. On the other piece of bread spread the Whiskey Peach jam. Close the sandwich and place on ghee-melted frying plan/grill plan. Cover and cook for about 5 minutes a side. Serve with your favorite chips.
