This smoothie is my Valentine’s gift to myself. This is the “glowing skin, full of energy, feeling sexy and strong” smoothie to get you through Valentine’s and the cold of winter. Collagen, coconut, maca powder and strawberries come together to give you all the loving support you need pre or post workout. Take 3 minutes to whip up this self-loving smoothie and you will be so glad you did!
I tend to struggle with adding protein to smoothies since I have a sensitive stomach and am allergic to whey and soy. So, I was so delighted to find out about collagen peptides as a protein booster for smoothies. It is super easy to digest and can even improve gut health over time. I use Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides which is flavorless and can be added to any smoothie. Collagen is so good for you on so many levels. It is great for bone and joint health, as well as your skin and hair. I use Pacific’s organic unsweetened Coconut Milk in this recipe because coconut milk is loaded with benefits. Strawberry Coconut Collagen Smoothie
- 1 banana
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 1 cup unsweetened coconut milk
- 1 serving collagen peptides
- 2 teaspoons maca powder
Put all items in your blender or Vitamix and blend until smooth.
