With the holidays over and the new year upon us, winter is in just the beginnings of it’s glory here in Colorado.  It’s no secret that I love winter.  Well, I have loved winter for the past 10 years since I moved to Colorado 10 years ago to the week!  Winter and I began our love affair not the first winter I was out here, moving into a new town and experiencing the snow and cold which was different from my move from California and my North Carolina roots, but after that next season snowboarding in the mountains… My love affair with winter went into full crush mode and it hasn’t stopped growing ever since.

This past week was chillier than normal with highs in the 20’s. For me this basically means lots of hot chai, hot toddies and wine by the fireplace, and lots and lots of layers.

I am wearing my favorite beanie from last year from Eugenia Kim, a super dope Brooklyn hat designer. I am also layered up with fingerless cashmere gloves from Rag & Bone and a boiled cashmere scarf I bought at Max in Denver. The jacket is a score from two years ago from Rebecca Taylor and is so very warm. I am also really feeling these blush tomboy cut cords from Rag & Bone too. Cozy, cozy, cozy. Which is exactly what this time of winter calls for in Colorado.

How do you stay warm in the cold of winter?

What are your favorite winter cozy staples?

Shearling hood jacket from Rebecca Taylor, boiled cashmere scarf, fingerless gloves from Rag & Bone, blush cords from Rag & Bone, and Sorel boots.
