With Thanksgiving next week, it truly feels like fall. We are suppose to have our first big snow tomorrow. I am preparing today by picking all the roses and lavender left in my garden and harvesting the rest of the lettuces and chard. I am going to make a big batch of Chicken, Chickpea and Kale Stew  but using all the chard from my garden. This soup is fabulous for making big batches and freezing for easy winter meals. I am so looking forward to the cooler temperatures coming soon. I am especially dreaming of decorating for the holidays next weekend with my mom and making my favorite spike hot chocolate.

I love this outfit because it is super cozy but also festive thanks to the metallic yarns. But the best thing about this look is it is all courtesy of GILT. I got this Rebecca Taylor vest for 70% off 3 years ago and it is one of my favorite winter layering pieces. I recently scored this Diane Von Furstenberg metallic tunic from GILT as well. I love how these two pieces layer together. For a more fancy holiday look, I will pair the dress with maroon tights and black booties.

Giving thanks for all of you!
