Paisley on my Mind

Easy breezy summer outfits?!? Yes please. I am officially a converted fan of the loose summer dress. The throw it on and you are done dress. The doesn't way anything dress. The it's 80 degrees and I am hot dress. This Current Elliott bandana printed paisley-inspired dress is just the ticket. I bought it at the ever so cute Current Elliott boutique on Abbot Kinney when I was in LA with my girlfriends a few weekends ago. It was my one LA clothing scoop. I just couldn't resist the effortlessness chic of the button down, flare t shirt silhouette. I also must say I love a dress with the shoulders covered in the summer for running errands or being outside in the daytime without having to worry too much about getting sunburned on my shoulders.
And on that note, there is this magical wide brim of a hat, courtesy of Janessa Leone and Goldyn Denver. I saw these hats when I was in LA on a few stylish brunching ladies and knew I needed something like that for summer. The Los Angeles based designer's hats are all crafted by hand. Each hat feels so special and you can tell the love put into the craftsmanship of the hat and all it's little details. The hats are definitely an investment since they are made by hand and not by machine or in China, but I must say I am already seeing how this quality of hat is totally worth it. Besides the fact these hats are made to stand the test of time, they are also so flattering and comfortable. As someone with fair skin, I am grateful to have found a summer hat that is so versatile I can wear it with a sundress, wear it in the garden, wear it by the pool or beach, or just throw it on in the morning to go walk to get a chai without having to fix my hair.
These wedges are by one of my favorite accessory designers, Loeffler Randall, and they are currently having a 30% off sale which include these clogs!
