Looking for a cooling and refreshing smoothie for summer? Looking for a little detox from your summer parties and travels? I started making this smoothie for these reasons. I wanted to start the day of with a little love for my body, especially after those nights of grilling with friends and a little too much wine. So, I created this smoothie to be a super light green smoothie that is full of nutrients and anti-inflammation properties.
I created this smoothie a little over a month ago when I was struggling with some serious sinus stuff. Like really struggling. I knew I wanted to add turmeric to my morning routine to help with inflammation and the general fact that I couldn’t breathe, but I didn’t really want to just have turmeric tea. I added lemon to help detox and also clear my scratchy throat. Hemp seeds provide protein and omegas. Cinnamon is also an anti-inflammatory as well as high in antioxidants. Mango and Pineapple are also high in antioxidants too!
