Evenings of Fourteenth Street is Laura Krudener’s most recent exhibition at the Four Seasons Denver. Following her mini-residency at the Denver Art Museum in conjunction with the nationally acclaimed Women of Abstract Expressionism exhibition, Krudener found herself deeply inspired by the works of Joan Mitchell and Deborah Remington. Each of these artists inspired the paintings she demonstrated live at the museum. The series Evenings of Fourteenth Street, a homage to Joan Mitchell’s painting Evenings on Seventy-third Street, initiates a return to gestural brushwork in Krudener’s work.
