With Cinco de Mayo just around the corner, I wanted to make a gluten free, corn free taco option to share. Since I don’t usually have the option of tortillas, I have fallen deeply in love with the quinoa taco salad option. For a vegan version, check out my Coconut Quinoa Salad with Mango vinaigrette recipe.
I am in love with this LWD! It’s flowy, feathery texture and low scoop back is so perfect. This dress has me excited for warmer weather and easy summer dressing. For a brunch, I paired with wedges and a chunky necklace. I also plan on throwing it on with my rose gold birks in the hot summer weather and being cool and cozy.
Last weekend, I had the honor of hosting the Mara Hoffman Trunk Show at Denver’s Goldyn boutique. I have long been a fan of Mara’s vibrant and bohemian collections and was so excited to curate food and drinks inspired by the Spring ’16 Collection. Goldyn owner and dear friend, Vanessa Barcus and I had the joy of attending Mara Hoffman’s Spring 16 Runway show in New York City this past fall. The Willie Nelson inspired collection rang near and dear to our hearts. It was so much fun to share this collection with Denver.
I created this smoothie a little over a month ago when I was struggling with some serious sinus stuff. Like really struggling. I knew I wanted to add turmeric to my morning routine to help with inflammation and the general fact that I couldn’t breathe, but I didn’t really want to just have turmeric tea. I added lemon to help detox and also clear my scratchy throat. Hemp seeds provide protein and omegas. Cinnamon is also an anti-inflammatory as well as high in antioxidants. Mango and Pineapple are also high in antioxidants too!
Spring is in the air. Which in Colorado means we just had a snowy weekend, it’s gray outside, and I am hoping for it to be back in the 70s by this weekend. I am itching to get my hands in the dirt, to plant my beets and carrots in the garden, and for my tulips to start blooming through the snow. In the meantime, I will be channeling spring florals with this vibrant off the shoulder top from Elizabeth and James. I love this floral because it also has blacks and grays in it, making it easy to wear with gray, (my favorite pastel) and easy to transition with the cooler weather we are still having.
